Concerts & Cocktails with Sinfonietta Notturna Los Angeles
Sinfonietta Notturna, led by its Artistic Director and Conductor, Peter Peyman Farzinpour, is a new chamber orchestra in Los Angeles comprising a rotating lineup of professional musicians who gather to play music they love in intimate and elegant settings for an audience of music and arts aficionados who enjoy sipping on cocktails while listening to beautiful music that inspires them, as they in turn discover the backstory of what inspired the composers who brought the music to life. Each concert has a particular theme, and Maestro Farzinpour discusses the background of the music, composer(s), and historical setting with often unknown and quite amusing anecdotes regarding the composers and pieces, which the ensemble then performs in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. The audience is encouraged to participate in the discussions (if they’re not too busy with their cocktails!) and the festivities continue after the performances with the musicians and audience mingling. Tickets for all the events are $100 and include cocktails and snacks.
